I’ve intentionally made this list of uses for fresh herbs completely random. Hopefully it will help you find something you were NOT looking for but now you have to try it.
I wanted to bounce you around from different regions, cuisines, food types, herbs and even courses. The goal is “I just got a bunch of this herb delivered and I’ve never tried this dish, let’s try it.” Some are simple recipes and some may take you some time. Try something new, you got the herbs to do it.
Eventually, I’ll try to add recipes or links for each. For now, you’ll have to Google the recipe names.
Living in South Jersey we are spoiled in the summer with all the corn, cukes, lopes (That’s how Brassies calls cantaloupe) fresh caught blue crab and of course toms.
Not to mention all the eggplant, peppers and enough zucchini to make you happy. How about venison in the fall? So, I’ll wait to add local recipes until you share them with me. I know how I cook with them but how about you? Got a mind blowing dandelion or squash blossom recipe or maybe deer jerky? Let’s spice up your seven fishes. Anything that’s grown around here or a tradition with you that has fresh herbs in it? I’ll add it.
